What Our People Say

Careers at Mergon

Niall O’Reilly
Automation Technician, USA

‘I started working in Mergon in June 2015 just after finishing the Level 7 Mechatronics course in Institute of Technology, Sligo. I worked in the plant in Castlepollard on an internship program before moving to work for Mergon Corporation in South Carolina. I was keen to join the company as an intern after attending a class presentation on the company. I liked the idea of working on new automation projects for high profile customers.

When post internship, they offered me a role in Mergon Corporation and financial support to complete my Level 8 course through distance learning, I jumped at the chance. I stay at Mergon because of the diversity. No two days are the same and you get the opportunity to play a big part in cutting edge projects for high profile customers which at my stage in my career, you just don’t get with other companies.

Working at Mergon is diverse and challenging – we are not afraid to try new emerging technologies and therefore the work is always interesting. If you are thinking about joining the Mergon team, be prepared to work on a wide range of fast-paced projects. Mergon is a fantastic place to work for anyone who wants to learn.’
