Mergon Automotive and Toyota have announced a supply relationship for air conditioning ducts. The Mergon International manufacturing plant in Castlepollard, Ireland will supply the ducts which are for the Toyota Auris. Today’s announcement follows Mergon’s recent success in winning a Toyota Supplier’s Award during the Annual Business Meeting which Toyota holds at their TME (Toyota Motor Europe) headquarters in Brussels in March 2012. The award recognises the excellence of Mergon Automotive’s Project Management.
Mergon’s relationship with Toyota began in June 2009 when they were selected for an initial project. The relationship developed successfully and Mergon is now supporting serial supply for the Toyota Yaris programme at TMMF in France. The Toyota Motor Manufacturing centre in the UK (TMUK) is in the final phase of development work for the Toyota Auris programme and the Irish plant of Mergon Group will begin serial supply in September of this year.
