Mergon International was the proud recipient of two awards at the IMR Manufacturing and Supply Chain Awards 2020 which took place at City West on 29th January – the prestigious overall award of Grand Prix Manufacturer of the Year and the IT Manufacturing Team of the Year. Mergon saw off stiff competition from global enterprises such Dell, Pfizer, Boston Scientific and Seagate to take home the impressive title of Grand Prix Manufacturer of the Year.
The IMR Manufacturing and Supply Chain Awards, now in its second year, showcases exceptional achievement, teamwork and innovation in Irish manufacturing. The awards which saw over 50 companies compete in 15 categories are unique in recognising not only the achievements of Irish manufacturing companies but also of collaborating teams within them and the awards ceremony itself served as a showcase for the very best of Irish manufacturing.
Mergon was founded in 1981 as a plastic moulding solutions business. Over nearly forty years, it has grown to become a global specialist provider of technical services, systems and components to leading brands in the automotive, industrial and healthcare sectors including Tesla, Toyota, Honda, Xerox and Abbott among others.
