Polymer Apprenticeship

 In News

Mergon International are proud to have been part of the steering committee and involved in the curriculum writing for the new 3-year apprenticeship programme that leads to the award of BSc in Polymer Processing.

This programme is one of the first of the new employer led apprenticeships in the country and was developed in association with Irish Medtech Association & Plastics Ireland (IBEC) and Athlone Institute of Technology as part of the Department of Education and Skills wider national strategy.

We wish our first two students under the programme, Allan Devine and Jonathan Carroll, the best of luck, they have completed Phase 1 (work element) and now they will commence Phase 2 (college training) at Athlone Institute of Technology.
