Process Engineer

The Role

Working closely with the Engineering, Production and Maintenance Departments to develop, trouble shoot, standardise and improve existing production methods and procedures.

Key Responsibilities

  • Working with Production, Quality and Maintenance teams to troubleshoot problems in the production process
  •  Work with Production, Quality and Maintenance teams to identify and put in place permanent and effective technical solutions to improve OEE
  • Develop mould and tooling modifications for fast and accurate changeover
  • Assist and drive development of improved systems which improve control in areas of production, engineering and quality
  • Utilise CAD based computer systems to ensure accuracy of tooling data/drawing
  • Support and lead CAPA procedures, NCMR closures and change control where appropriate. Drive activities to ensure closure and complete documentation as required
  • Support all new product introduction launches from new equipment design and purchase through from introduction to production. Support introduction to production by supporting the development of production methods/operating procedures which ensure efficiency, quality and visual management are to highest standard possible
  • Design and/or specify tooling requirements to support manufacturing processes
  • Implement 5S activities to improve visual factory
  • Develop engineering and technical ability through training

The Candidate

The successful candidate will have

  • A Degree in a relevant Engineering discipline or a level 6 qualification with relevant manufacturing experience
  • Experience working in a high volume manufacturing environment
  • Excellent problem solving, troubleshooting and team working skills
  • Excellent computer skills
